I have four tabs open and am running about 138, so that seems about right. There are many threads on hear about RAM usage by firefox. You may want to try Opera, some say it is less hungry. Good Luck :p

With a Gig of ram it seems like the least of any problem. The most I have is 512MB and thats only on one laptop the rest are half that.

The longer you keep firefox open (especially, back in the day), the more memory it'll take up. Try epiphany!
