Is anyone working hard on a fix for ipod touches and iphones?

Not that i am complaining, but hey, I was wondering if there was a project going on. I actually have itunes 8 running on xp in virtualbox with a few tweaks and I ran this script this dude made and it works perfectly through the vm...but wow what a pain in the ***. I wish we could keep up with this technology as it is definately the future...touch screen devices that is. Heck, I know Apple doesn't have the market cornered ya know but they are leading as of now.

Would you mind writing up some kind of tutorial on that? Until a new solution comes I'd like to know how you did it.

I will go back and attempt to retrace my steps...but it was a real crapshoot let me tell you. On the bright side, it works perfectly (at least on this Hardy laptop)
