I just finished setting up EPIM in a local network using Ubuntu Server 8.10 as the database server.

The installation was easy enough even for me :-)

I looked at many CRM systems first, but they were either about to die because of lack of development, or they were seriously bloated for my use. What I need was a nice PIM that could be shared on the network. EPIM works for me.

Any link or something?

Thanks in advance :)

If you do a Google for EPIM, the first hit will probably be this one:

The SQL server that is needed is Firebird SQL at

http://www.firebirdsql.org/

That should be all :-)

Mind you: This is a solution for Windows clients using a Ubuntu server. For Linux clients, I would recommend using Kubuntu and the pim that comes with it.
