View Full Version : Idea for a script

Hey. I'm not a programmer but I just had an idea for making a script so that the Nautilus Send to Gmail script would be more useful. I use the NSG essentially to make a backup of the documents I work on in OpenOffice. It would be great if I (while being in OpenOffice) could with only one key combination automatically save the document (wherever you were saving it in your hard disk) and send a copy to gmail.
If somebody has time to do it (just for fun, of course ;)), I (and maybe a lot of people) would definitely appreciate it.
Thank you very much.

Have you tried changing the email client setting in OpenOffice to use your nautilus script?

Not sure if it will work, just a suggestion...

Thank you for your answer! This is exactly what I needed. It doesn't matter if I couldn't use the Nautilus Script for that purpose (I thought it would be more practical) as long as it can be done.
Thanks again!
