how can i connect?

well i installed ubuntustudio on my dell 1520 laptop. now i wanted to connect to my wlan network but i just couldnt figure out how. help?

Please tell about your wifi vendor and the output of iwconfig.

well iwconfig says:
lo no wireless...
eth0 no wireless extns
wlan0 IEEE 802.11abg etc
pan0 no wireless extension.

my question is, where do i have to go to connect to a wireless network?
