I'm not sure if this is a beginner question or not, so I shall err on the side of beginner.
I'm installing Ubuntu Server with encrypted LVM, and installed a pretty regular base system (just the base plus Samba).
However, when I boot up, I get the following message:
Enter passphrase to unlock the disk /dev/disk/by-uuid/ (sda1_crypt): Command failed: Error opening device: Is a directory
I enter my passphrase, but it always fails to decrypt (I am certain that the passphrase is correct).
The drive in question is a WD 250 gig SATA 3 GB/s, with the default partitioning scheme.
Any ideas? I *really* want encrypted LVM to work properly.
Thanks a lot,
sio
