Lexmark x73 does not print

Using Ubuntu 8.04 with a Lexmark X73 printer connected to a USB port. The printer seems to install properly, but when attempting a test page the paper begins to load and the page begins to print - the first half of UBUNTU prints - but then it stops. I have to eject the page to see anything.

Any assistance will be appreciated. Thank you.

Lexmark is about the worst printer you could find for linux. I wish you luck getting it to work as many have tried and failed.
