Hi there!

I'm just wondering what's taking my Ubuntu so long to show the shared folders up on my LAN. I just got myself a MacBook Pro which is connected wirelessly to the LAN. My Ubuntu PC is on cable. While both have internet at the same time, it takes a long while for the shared folders to show up at the Finder on my Mac. Though Mac detects there's another computer (since Finder adds an option to connect to my Ubu with a remote client), shared folders delay 5, 10 minutes in showing up.

Is there anything that can be delaying my Ubu to share these folders through LAN?

Secondly, though not expecting to get any answer in here xD... how to share a folder on my Mac? Anyone got one? It just won't show up for ubuntu :S

Note:
Using Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
