Black screen after enabling nvidia driver

I have just installed ubuntu on a Dell 2650 and everything seemed to work fine. Then I enabled a new nvidia driver and rebooted. During the start-up I can see that ubuntu is loading, but then I get a black screen and I can't do anything. How do I disable the updated driver?

Update: After starting up 2 times in safe mode it seems to be working again.

Things just inherently have weird quirks. Glad you fixed it.
