I can't install kubuntu 8.1

i was using hardy for one year and it was OK, i added a new ATI VGA Radeon 9200, i decided to upgrade to the last version of kubuntu i found troubles with vga, instability, i tried fresh installation of the last version of kubuntu the same problem, even from the live CD, nothing appear! :(

any help for the ATI Radeon 9200 ??? i can't even run kubuntu from Live CD, why the last version more worse than the old ??!!
