I have an ultrabay tray for SATA drives and I have a disk that has an ubuntu install on it. When it plugs in, I can't mount the device. Is this something to do with the fact that it has an install already on it? I've booted with the disk in and get the same thing.

This a Lenovo T61.

I do have a 7200rpm drive in the boot slot and the other drives are 5400rpm.

What do you know...

I'm 2 for 2 in finding the answer shortly after I post...

Hard drive password prevented the drive from being mounted.
