Hello, Im trying to use my ubuntu desktop machine at my job and do most of the the work with it, but Im having a few problems: I need to have access to a couple of network places via ssh to be able to execute remote applications, and in some cases print from them with my local printer, those connections have to remain permanent like windows maped connections to virtual units, but I dont know how to do it... please help me :D

Thanks in advance

Via SSH? sshfs (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SSHFS).

Quick googling also turns up some oldish howtos - http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=103860, http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=275856, http://ubuntu.wordpress.com/2005/10/28/how-to-mount-a-remote-ssh-filesystem-using-sshfs, etc.
