I was a bit nervous to mess with my flash64 plugins that I had been using since they pretty much worked using those lib32's and the nspluginwrapper/nspluginwrapper-flash.....

..... but after I went ahead and removed my plugin from Firefox with:

nspluginwrapper -v -r ~/.mozilla/plugins/*

and also both the old packages so I could install the new flashplugin-alpha-64 package, I was glad I did it.

I'm really impressed at how much better the flash sites were. My nba.com home page finally works correctly with the drop down menus in the navi-bar working perfectly. I've seen nothing but improvements so far. I recommend it.

+1 I've been using it since it was released and it's been working great. I see no reason for anyone to continue to use the 32 bit version of flash on a 64 bit OS.

I still haven't been able to get drop down menus to work with Flash 10 on i686. You are lucky I guess. :(

Hmm, this gives me more reason to switch to x86_64 on the next install :D.

Yeah, I waited for a while. My flash64 with the old ns pluggins and the lib32's had been working for all the sites that I use.... so I didn't want mess with it.

But after I saw there was a package in the AUR I went ahead and upgraded. I'm glad I did because it really fixed some sites like NBA.com.

Being a fresh Arch Linux convert (as of this past weekend), installing flashplugin-alpha-64 was as easy as 'yaourt -S flashplugin-alpha-64'.

+1 The alpha64 plugin is working fine for me. There's a package in AUR (alpha) for Java Runtime Enviroment (JRE6_12) with 64bit support - works too!

Yeah, the jre_beta 6u12_b03-1 is working so much better than openjdk6 and icedtea had been. I use Photobucket.com for the screenshots that I post in the "Desktop Screenshot Threads"..... anyway, the java applet never worked for the bulk uploader until I installed the jre_beta 6u12_b03-1.

Now it works perfectly.
