I've just installed Ubuntu (default Gnome) as a dual-boot option on a MacbookPro. I just realized that there's no "PrintScr" button. Is there an alternative Mac keyboard key combination that will trigger Ubuntu's screen capture utility?

Go to System > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts
You can change the shortcut for take screenshot there.

you probably want to use the screenshot tool in accessories anyway.

System -> Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts
gnome-screenshot --area
alt-ctrl-4
Unfortunately there's a bug and you can't map alt-shift-4 as you would like.

System -> Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts
I used CMD+3 for "Take Screenshot"
I used Alt+CMD+3 for "Take Screenshot of a Window"
CMD key will actually say "Mod4" in the shortcut.
